One of the ground-breaking models describing the loss causation process is the familiar model by Frank E. Bird, Jr.

The model describes a progression of controls, actions, or conditions that can contribute to an incident resulting in loss.
Look at the model closely. People skills is one of the basic (root) causes of loss.
Don't see it there? Look harder.

The "personal factors" described in the model are people problems.
People Problems Require People Skills To Solve.
This is the purpose of Peak's core training courses — preventing hardcore people problems that are the personal factors that contribute to a loss.
