From Juvenile Misconduct
Convinced that the most effective method for equipping workers for better safety and productivity is through improving their people skills, Ron Newton cofounded Peak Training Solutions in 1992. His conviction was an outgrowth of his 20 years of experience as the founder and director of a non-profit organization that helped troubled teens learn relationship skills and personal accountability while in the wilderness environment.

It was this success in helping troubled youth meet their human development challenges that drew businesses to request Ron's training services for their employees.

To Safety Management
Building on his success with troubled youth, Ron was asked to develop a series of training seminars which would bring the principles of personal safety management into the classroom. The series, Safety Behavior Management, today consists of six core training courses that focus on developing people skills that address the personal factors and values that cause a loss.

With a specialty of working in corporate environments where the exercise of people skills is secondary to the demands of production, Peak is at the forefront of those who advocate an aggressive, proactive approach to application of people skills to the safety and production management processes.

Ron Newton

Ron is the president of Peak Training Solutions. He has helped companies worldwide achieve success through addressing the human factor potential of their people. He is an authority on the role of people skills as it affects work team dynamics, having lead the research, development and delivery of strategic human development efforts in many industry sectors called upon to practice high-risk behaviors.

Ron’s unique background – 20 years as the director of a nonprofit wilderness camp ministry for troubled kids – and his dynamic speaking skills have resulted in frequent speaking engagements at industry conferences and corporate gatherings. He is currently authoring a business book about restoring personal integrity to the workplace, using many illustrations from his safety management consulting experiences.

He and his wife live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and have 3 grown children.
